Hello to all! I'm just coming back to SP after a long break and some weight gain. UGH. I just started going to Zumba classes and love it! Does anyone know if there is any information for learning the steps/dances other than a beginners class? Beginners classes aren't offered in my area at a time when I can attend. I feel like I'm tripping up my class and need remedial Zumba! LOL

Hello all, I joined spark a couple years ago because my dad had success with it but I kept getting distracted, got back on a long while back but didn't have or make time for it and now my husband and I are both working on losing, using the app makes it so much easier to keep count and I like it much better than lose it or my fitness pal that I have used before. I also started doing zumba a couple months ago and was losing pounds doing it so it definitely was working for me, but I was finishing grad school and just stopped having time to do it at the time. I finished school in May and since my husband has been losing using Spark, I have started back up with him and have been going back to Zumba the last couple weeks and I love it! I am down about 5 pounds already and between counting calories and doing Zumba I hope to continue working toward my goal.
I have committed to making it two times a week to my local classes (hoping more but depends on my schedule and someone has to help cook dinner some of the time too lol) and I WANT to start getting up and doing the xbox zumba workout too but that is the hardest for me is to get up in the morning and do it! I know I can't do it at the end of the day after working all day with kids I have a hard time with that (silly since I will get dressed and drive down the road to a local class, but It is easier and more motivating if someone else goes with me and some of my friends zumba ) so part of my next goal is to do at home workouts on the days I am not going to class.
Anything is possible, It's your choice whether or not you choose to make IT happen
Hi everyone, I have been on Sparkpeople for awhile but just started doing Zumba almost a month go and fell in love with it. It's so energizing and I look forward to going to the gym and I feel so alive when I do......Very exciting

Zumba has changed my life! I am so grateful for this exercise program and music.
My 2013 goals are:
* Reach goal weight....currently down 66...need to lose 44 more for 110 pound loss. * Wear size 4 hip hugger jeans by Christmas 2013...have gone from size 22 to 12..still going down. *Continue sobriety for the rest of my life...currently 516 days sober. *Continue to help others daily. *Learn new Zumba moves and become more fit. *Take 6-7 Zumba classes weekly plus one kickboxing class. *Follow the Zumba diet guidelines and make recipes in the Zumba Lovers Cookbook. * Live Laugh Love * Incorporate weight training, kettlebells, and cardio including treadmill and water jogging into workout routine. * Be a good SparkFriend. * To post calories, fitness, and sobriety daily. * To continue to participate in all local 5ks and complete one 10k before December 2013.

HI! I found your team by searching for "zumba shoes"...so I joined Sparkpeople and now your team! I am just starting Zumba classes and everyone's enthusiasm for Zumba was so infectious , I can hardly wait to start. My first class is on Tuesday!
I have a friend in another state and when I saw how great she looked at my last visit, she said it was all because of Zumba. Oh, and how do you add the "ticker"...I could not find it on my spark page.....thanks!
Hello all. I hope I am doing this right. A little back story. I had a stroke 2-1/2 years ago. I am pretty much back to "normal" now. Anyway. I gained about 50lbs since then. I started weight watchers jan 1st. Would like to lose 30 lbs for now. I tried Zumba at the gym like 4 months ago. It was fun. But the gym is hard to get to of me. So today I got Zumba wii. Love it!!!! Such a fun and great workout. Here's to weight loss and healthier us!!!!! Cheers. With just eater of course :)
That's awesome that you are getting into Zumba Jess. Wow Tigger you really get your zumba in for the week. I'm hoping to start going to classes again, it's been forever, just looking for one with the right vibe. I just got the new Wii Core game so I'll try that out and see how I like it. Yeah to a new year of ZUMBA!
AWESOME!!! Welcome to the group. I am looking forward to my classes starting up again tomorrow. I teach 6 classes a week, and attend 3 others. Zumba has helped me lose 35 lbs and kept me from getting bored with my workouts. :0)
I have been doing zumba for about a week now and i love it!!! I rang in 2013 by doing 1hr 6 mins of Zumba 2 and then this morning i did 50 mins. I feel great!
Alittle about me: I am 31, mom of 4, 2x cancer survivor, tattoo & piercing lover ( i have plenty of both :), I would love to find a great support system that i can work through my weightloss with. I am always here to give my support. ZUMBA ON!!!
