Hi Tricia, So glad you found Zumba to help in your weight loss efforts. it really helped mine too and I became an instructor, which I love doing. But to tell you the truth, doing Weight Watchers is the real tool that helped me lose my weight and get to goal. I write down my food everyday and track points not only for the day but the week to get an average so i know what to do and what works. I've been quite obsessive about these things in the past. plotting graphs to watch the numbers go down. All sorts of things. Mostly I would focus on 1 pound at a time and then look for the next. Zumba is a great motivator and you'll see your lifestyle start to change as the weight drops. I've been at goal for a while but i must be diligent as the bad habits can creep in ( like eating more than i need to feel satisfied just because it tastes good). 1-there's always another meal. We are surrounded by food and you will never really go hungry, so eat the right amount at any given meal. 2-It's ok to be hungry. and 3- Push the plate away when you are satisfied. Pay very close attention to your level of fullness!!!!
Good luck. Persistence and consitency ARE the magic pill.
Hugs, Beth

WW gave me the tools and Zumba gave me the motivation and confidence to keep going. I'm happy with who I am now.
