Hi everyone. My name is Angela and I am newer to this forum (have lurked for a little bit) and new to Zumba. I tried some videos online and really liked it. I finally broke down and ordered the Exhilerate DVDs and I am so glad I did. I hate to exercise but I love Zumba! So far this week alone I have put in 180 mins of Zumba.
I am horribly uncoordinated and have trouble with some of the steps and trouble keeping up but I still love to do it. I just keep moving and shaking my hips if I can't quite get what they are doing.
I've done the step by step quite a few times now and I LOVE the 30 min toning exercise with the zumba sticks. The other day I was actually shocked when I got to the end of the workout because it seemed like I had only been doing it for 10 mins!
Does is really get easier though as you go along? It is hard to imagine myself having the steps down and actually being able to do this for an hour straight with any breaks - but I am determined to try. I tried to do the 20 mins workout yesterday and just could not even begin to keep up. The mix one looks really fun with all the different types of dancing but I just can't get my body to move that fast and to keep my balance so I'm not tripping over my own feet.
