Thank you LInda, Beth and Bonnie,
It has been a long but amazing journey. To answer all your questions. I am half Puerto Rican and "Wepa" is just an expression of Salsa in Spanish when you like a song.
My memoir. "From Agoraphobia to Zen" -uncovering the core of my anxiety and reclaiming my life-- will be out in print in a few weeks. It is already out in Kindle and if you visit my Amazon page you will see that it is an exciting, scary but inspiring story how I lost my pounds of pain and gained my life. I lived inside for ten years of my life and had to find the truth to heal. I also losed 60 pounds in the process.
I started Zumba because it makes me happy. I used to study Flamenco and danced Salsa in public a long time ago and it doesn't feel like work to me. The time goes by fast and my body is healing as well as my mind. Thank you for welcoming me.Don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions. I am actually going on a booktour next month. Talk about healing from panic lol and may be in a city near you. I will be speaking on topics of weight and mental health as well as writing as a way of healing. I am honored to be part of your group. I am looking forward to going to a class. I am proud to say that today since I joined SP I have lost 5 pounds. I am also doing the 10 day Zumba lose a dress size and doing a Reboot from Whole living magazine-- used to be body and soul-- and it focuses on both the inside as well as outside. Hope to make my page look as good as all of yours, Aloha Maya
