thanks so much for your reply. I will check out the links you sent and the dvd's should be here today. Curves commercial will start airing in January. I am really looking forward to this. Is it costly to get Zin certified? Or is it included in the cost of the class or an additional expense? You are zin certified, if you want to teach at Curves you also need to take the class through the Zumba site on line for Curves. Check it out. Let me know how it is because I can't get that info until I complete my zumba workshop.
Hi!! Yes, I just got ZIN certified last month! It's easy--just go to the workshop and learn what they teach you. It really helps if you have done Zumba and are familiar with the steps, etc..(Check out Youtube also to see different Zumba classes and instructors, if there aren't any near you!! Check the link below for some of my favorites) The cost is $220 for an 8-hour session. I was also excited to see that Curves was teaming up with Zumba!! I used to be a Curves member for several years and really enjoyed it! Now I'm a Zumba-freak, and I actually was thinking a few weeks ago--how cool would it be to have a Curves circuit where they played Zumba music and you could do Zumba moves on the recovery pads?? Hahahah!! I guess I wasn't the only one who thought of that!! I'm thinking about going to my old Curves and talking to the owner to see if they might be interested in doing a "ZUmba in the Circuit" class a couple times a week! I think it would be a fun way to teach a Zumba class!!
I'm excited that our Curves will offer Zumba. Our owner is excited too. She's out there groovin' already. I think she should get certified too. It is cool that one of my teachers from the center where I take Zumba is going to teach at Curves tho.
If you love to move or dance and love energy you will love Zumba! I would try and go to a neighboring city and try a live Zumba class if I were you to really get a feel for it if you don't have Zumba in your area. I didn't really like the DVDs to be honest minus the Basic Steps one. I am also a Licensed Zumba Instructor myself. Nothing compares to a live class! Good luck and have fun. :)

My dvd's will be here tomorrow, and although I have never done Zumba I am going to take a workshop to be certified in January. I am a Curves Franchisee and we are offering the Curves Circuit with Zumba fitness in January. The small town I live in didn't have an available Zumba instructor who could teach my club. I am going to learn to do it myself. I am excited about those dvd's coming and hopefully I shouldn't have to much trouble with them. I am active, and fit, do turbo jam, kickboxing, weights, etc etc.
