I have the DVDs and love them. I don't have classes that are at good times for me, so I haven't been to a live class yet (I hope one day I'll make it). But I have to say it is fun at home and you burn TONS of calories.

Hi Dusty!! Yes, I have the DVDs and I did them when I first started Zumba classes at my gym, so I could learn the basic steps. The DVDs are good-do them at least 3 times a week, more if possible. I have since given my dvds to my mom and a friend, because I have Zumba at the gym and the classes are MUCH more fun!! I also enjoy trying new Zumba routines I find on Youtube (check the link below for some of my favorites!)
I agree with TheSaneOne--check out the website for a class near you--they are a BLAST!!! Meanwhile, the DVDs are a great workout, and get you used to the routines and style..
Best of luck!! Hope you become as addicted to Zumba as I am!!!
I'm an instructor and I would recommend that you go to Zumba.com and put in your zip code and search for classes near your home. Try several as each teacher and place is a bit different. You'll find one that suits you better that way. In the meantime, do the DVD's and learn the basics, it will help when you go to class and make it more fun. I just think it's more fun to Zumba in a class with other people. But that could be just me.

WW gave me the tools and Zumba gave me the motivation and confidence to keep going. I'm happy with who I am now.
