Just joined this team, but have been doing zumba for a couple of months now... Awesome work out and I go once a week to a class with some friends... We have great fun and a few laughs along the way...

Even if you are on the right track you'll get run over if you just sit there.... SO GET UP AND MOVE...

I was wondering the same thing .. read another thread here and found alot of people go about and buy a heart rate monitor that tracks calories. I found one at WalMart for $27.00 -it's a S7 by Sportline. I used it this morning to time my 5K practice run. You have to be careful that when you check your heart rate you don't accidentally clear your calorie counter out. Other that that I really like it.

Hi Everyone!
I took my first Zumba class yesterday and loved it! Iím going back today.
I wanted to track my Zumba workouts under my fitness but I donít find a category for it. What should I use?
Logging what I eat and my workouts are motivation for me to stay on track. Should I use aerobics or belly dancing as a substitute? I did an hour of Zumba and was sweating so much! I loved it but would like to know more or less how many calories Iím burning Ė any help? Advice?

I think they were called Warego.. but I canceled the order after reading a couple of reviews. They're said to kind of stick to the floor which is what I'm trying to avoid. Have to do some more research.

Never heard of the duck tape. I don't think I would be sporting it. I do have an old pair of worn down trainers I might try next class.

I agree about the shoes.. I've ordered some online. Tried sneakers, just my socks .. I refuse to try the duct tape. LOL

Took my first Zumba class on Friday, I love it. I need new shoes! I am awaiting hubby to come home so hopefully I can meke it to Zumba today...Glad to join the group and get some tips!

Just joined this team (my first); been a SP member for about 3 months. I bought Zumba Fitness program after seeing it on TV. I spent the last 5 days trying to learn the steps, it's a little tricky but it sure is fun. I'm thinking about starting a Zumba night in my basement with my two daughters and 2 granddaughters. My question though, when I log cardio in how can I find out how many calories I have burned? I read about a BodyBuddy? or something like that.. what is it?

Welcome to the group. I have the dvd's and they are great. I am also a Zumba instructor and I can tell you it is a fun workout.

Hi I'm Kim, 50, new to this group and new to Zumba. I just did the basic DVD and the 20 minute express workout last night and I was dripping with sweat which is a very good thing. I like intense workouts that let me know that I'm getting a quality workout. I can see a long and happy time learning and doing Zumba as dancing is one of my favorite indoor workouts. so glad I bought the DVD's. kim

I went to a Zumba "open house" tonight for a free class... I had a blast!!! I was dripping with sweat--so AWESOME!! I can definitely see myself getting into shape this way!!!
