Congratulations on not only losing the weight but keeping it from coming back when it stopped coming off! Even though you are disappointed in not losing more bellieve me IT IS HUGE not to have gained the weight back!!! You have been through a rough journey but I think life is like that to test you and make you re-examing yourself and become better and stronger!
I think food is like a chemical crutch people use to help them through life's stresses - it certainly was for me. I am divorced and raised 2 boys alone. I found comfort in icecream particularly to get through it. Last year I could feel tightening around my chest constantly and when I work at 3 am with chest pain it became a reality I needed to change because I was headed to an early grave. Being without insurance I changed from icecream to frozen fruit bars cut out eating white foods and mainly use olive oil- no margarine. I found a job with Walmart last year as a cashier so being on my feet moving is giving me more exercise as well. I started gaining back a few pounds last month and needed to get back on track.

Bright Blessings, Diana

Good Morning Diana

I have a kiln full of Christmas tree ornaments, have two sales in the next ten days and Hope these work.

I'm a widower, after my wife passed I did a lot of self examining, Then I weighted 350 pounds, I could not walk 8 blocks without sitting down, I was a sick old man just weighting to die
I joined TOPS got a walker with a seat, did water exercise and one pound at a time dropped 100 pounds. I am now fit, no longer in pain and looking forward to another 40 fun filled years

I have 75 more to go but they too shall be evicted, one pound at a time :)

For the last year I have been in a holding pattern, I am one pound lighter then on New Years day :(
At least I got rid of the ten pounds I gained and this site is the tool that will help me get down to where I want to be, If I just use it

Hi Mike
Thanks for the message. Love your photos! Plants and cats (also dogs) are a passion of mine too. Hopefully we can inspire each other here. If you have not done so before check out Itunes podcasts Fat 2 Fit. The 2 guys who do it are on weight loss journeys themselves and the podcasts helped me lose 22 lbs. Unfortunately one of them is ill and the podcasts slowed down to a trickle so I am here for my motivation. The extra weight is really noticable on the joints as you age so I am thinking it is definately time to get the excess junk off.

Hi D

this group has not been very active, I am a polytheistic Pagan, also a potter. Like you I am trying to drop a good deal of weight but this is a hard time to stick with it :(

God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the
good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the

Hello all - so happy to find a Pagan group here!!! I have been a practicing Wiccan for 14 years but my work schedule (weekends and nights) has pretty much kept me isolated from events and gatherings so a group with common interests is wonderful! I am a 60 yr old woman looking to lose 55 lbs and get to be at the best health possible. Looking forward to getting to know all of you better!
