Welcome and let me start by saying congratulation on your current success and may you keep going strong. You sound a lot like me, though I never spent more then a few hours an ER for my depression. I grew up semi christian, though church was never a big thing in my family. I found the occult almost the same way you did. To be honest, when I first got into it, I didn't know anyone is it and to be quite honest don't remember where I got my interest from, but I do remember I was around 13 when I became interested. I'm glad you shared your story. Fell free to add me as a sparkbuddy if you'd like.

Hello. I'm new to the team and relatively new to sparkpeople. I have done the site once before, and almost met my goal, but I entered a bad point in my life. So now I'm back in the game and going strong so far.

I am not actually pagan; I was raised Catholic. I went to youth groups throughout my freshman and sophomore years of high school. And I was depressed. Absolutely positively depressed. I ended up in a psychiatric ward on suicide watch. Then when I was a junior, something happened. I don't know how, because no one I knew was Wiccan, but I decided to study Wicca. It was the first time I learned to think for myself. And it was the first time I was every truly happy. It's been a few years, but I still remember the feeling I got studying paganism. So while I am presently agnostic, I look forward to my continuation of the study of Wicca.
