Just thought I would use the solstice as a door out of the Broom Closet here on SP.
I have been studying & practicing for, what, 35 years now. Woosh! Its been a good ride! I am now in a period where I am morphing from plump friendly-hipped Mother to a lean sinnewy Crone!
I'm Melting! I'm Melting! (so far I have melted off 35 pounds and have 45 more to go!)
I hale from Central Wisconsin - due north of Madison, due west of Green Bay. It is lovely lush and leafy here... so lush that I am writing this quickly so I can get out and finish Week 1 Day 3 of the c25k program before we get a morning thunder storm that's heading this way.
Later I am going to a small gathering of pagans, most of whom I have not met. I have had a solitary kitchen witch practice for the last 20 years but my cards have been prodding me to work in a group for a while now. One of my yarn store customers out of the blue asked me if I would like to join her and a group of friends to cast a circle, tie healing intentions to her Winter Solstice tree, and then burn it in a big old bonfire. Cakes and wine to follow!
(Who knew she was Wiccan? Proving once again that my witch radar is on the fritz)
So, enough about me, what are you doing for the solstice?
Can't wait to Merry Meet all of you!
Life has no remote... get up and change it yourself!
