I used an excel sheet for meals too! I even had lunches, breakfasts and snacks included. Plus a tab with dinner ideas. Then got a new PC but no excel. Miss it. emoticon

Welcome to the site and to the team! Planning ahead for meals will be huge. I make my menus two weeks in advance and then make my grocery list from that. It has helped me immensely! I'm sure you'll find something that will help you. This site has lots of good information.

I'm 31 and my body has been screaming at me to get healthy so I don't feel like I'm 90! I'm a mother of 2 to a beautiful daughter Jasmine who is 10 years old and a baby...well, toddler now, Henry who just turned one the end of June! PS, my husband's name is Mark...and he is definitely one of those guys that can eat anything and not gain a pound, lol!

I was obese after having my daughter, and I lost a lot of weight, the wrong way (ephedrine) and gained it all back again when I started back to school. I have a genetic condition that makes my connective tissue weak or loose or however you want to call it, so my joints all pop in and out all the time. This wasn't a problem until the last couple years when I started having extreme pain in my right shoulder, both knees, and then my pelvis decided to start in when I had 4 months of my pregnancy left to go. I ended up on crutches and had to have help doing everything because I was basically bed/chair ridden. It was awful...but it was also a BIG wake up call that I need to strengthen my self up and loose the pounds if I want to stay out of a wheelchair!

Anyway, I started going to the gym and I have an awesome friend that has similar goals to go with me! I am going to try and get her started on this website so we can take full advantage of all of you wonderful people and all of the goodies the site entails!!

One of the biggest hurdles I face daily is food! I hope to be more proactive in cooking at home (healthy choices) instead of fast food, especially once I start back to school again this August! I finished nursing school (LPN) May 2010 and I'm getting ready for the RN program now...I just hope I don't get into the study too much mode that I forget to focus on my health and my families health! Wish me luck!
