Hi & Welcome to SP & the team! You can do this!
Deb gave you some great advice!

One thing I want to say-- don't be surprised or upset if things don't always go/ change as fast as you want them to. It's taken me almost 4 years to loose 70 lbs, and I still have more than 30 to go. But I am thankful every day that I started this journey when I did!
Don't expect to see fast changes overnight... we didn't get this way over night.
And realize that bad days WILL happen (I'm a caregiver for a disabled family member, & have my share of health issues, as well. Trust me, I've had planty of 'bad' days! But have also had plenty of good ones!). What's important is that we keep doing the best we can!
You CAN do this!

Hi There,
The first step is believing you can do it. Instead of think "I'll try..." "I'll never..." think "I am..". Make small changes at a time and slowly add to them so that it's not overwhelming all at once. If you haven't read the book "The Spark" yet, I strongly encourage you to. There are many success stories in there from people who were in your same situation. Let Sparkpeople help you to make a plan. Again, start out small; plan to 1. walk 10 minutes a day (you can increase by 5 minutes every other week) and 2. Track everything you eat. This is just an example but if you make small changes like this and are very consistent, you WILL see results. If you don't feel like doing it one day, go through the motions anyway and "fake it till you make it". Being consistent is the key AND believing that you are doing it. No negative talk to yourself. Talk to yourself like you are motivating a close friend. Believe, believe, believe and use the tools in Sparkpeople. You CAN do this.

"To succeed you have to believe in something with such a passion that it becomes a reality. "

"In the midst of regular life, running is the touchstone that breathes adventure into my soul. "
