Congrats on your 10 pounds down! That's terrific. I see you got The Spark - have you finished reading it yet? It is very motivational. I'm afraid I can't help you on the insulin resistance issues, though. Maybe there is a Team that specializes in that?

Hi! I'm soooo excited to have joined this awesome community! I am 34 years old and have been overweight since having our first baby at 21. I finally decided in November that it was time to lose this weight I have been carrying for 13 years! I joined the local gym in December and so far have been able to lose almost 10lbs. by exercising 3x a week and reducing my portion sizes. I am looking forward to learning more info on eating right so that I don't always feel hungry since I'm not eating all the garbage I used to! I also have insulin resistance so I'm hoping to find other people that have been using diet and exercise instead of medication as a means to reduce the effects of this. I look forward to hearing from everyone and meeting new friends!
