On the days I don't feel like working out, or eating right, I always tell myself to "fake it till you make it" and I go through the motions anyway. That's what works for me. I am an almost 41 year old mom of three. I have been married for 21 years to a wonderful man. I was active in high school and very fit and did okay through my twenties. I have since let myself go and reached a point where I can no longer deny the risk I am taking by being overweight. I am limited in the things I can do because of my humiliation at the way I look and I am beginning to notice things I am literally limited by because I can't bend over and such. I have three wonderful teens who are supportive and active and fit. My husband set a goal to run in a mini triathalon this summer and I would like to be able to at least enter a 5K. I have a long ways to go. I have a history of obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure in my family. I know my weight loss will not be easy and it will be even harder to maintain it. I lost 35 lbs a few years ago and have gained it all back plus 20lbs. I have a new treadmill coming this week for my home and I plan on logging miles 6 days a week. My goal for 2010 is to be healthy, fit and to use positive visualization and thoughts to motivate me to accomplish my goals and dreams.
