No, there aren't any lanes at my school. There are only a few close to the university, and they're all unfortunately so expensive. At least I have my own shoes now so I won't have to worry about paying for those. Maybe I'll get to practice more this upcoming year than I did last year. I sure hope so!

emoticon, Marie. Seems like both of us are finally bowling better. Does your school have its own lanes? Students usually get a discount. Or ask for one at an area center, even if you just practice once in a while to relax and keep a feel of your game. Best of success to you in your studies and on the lanes. -- Lou

Whatever time you can give to bowling will help you with weight control and strength training.
Bowling is actually a very good all purpose exercise.

I would really like to, but I'm attending college away from home and I'm not sure I would be able to for reasons such as cost, transportation, and time. My dad and brother are both in the fall/winter league here and I asked to join them for the summer one while I'm home. I think for now I'll have to stick with the occasional bowling night out during the year, at least until I get a part time job!

My name is Marie and I'm currently in a summer bowling league. I've always liked bowling, but now I'm trying to improve my game. I bowl Mondays in a league. I actually just got back and I got a 160, 126, and 123. My average is 134. I try to practice at least once a week outside of the league. Last Friday, I had my highest game ever: 179. I'm hoping that my average will improve by the end of the summer!
