I saw the author on The Drs Show talking about her new book and found her FBD books on my kindle. I found about 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches that work well for me and I am currently working on identifying some dinner options that will feed the family too.
Meanwhile I have started a gardenette with a lemon tree, a couple spearmint and a bunch of cucumber plants. The tree has about 20 lemons that are growing and I am already using the mint leaves. Hoping the cucumbers will produce too. LOL!
I also find FBD doable. I actually bought Engine2 but it was too hard to find the stuff for it. I did the Atkins with my hubby about a decade ago. I did true Atkins while he did the carnivore version. LMAO! So FBD is actually the first diet that I've ever tried.
I am pleased with the benifits. I've slowly lost 20 lbs so far and wish to loose 40 lbs more by Thanksgiving/Christmas. I am still really concentrating on remembering to eat enough fruit and vegtables each day.
Looking to buy some stickers or stamps for the (3) kids (tod-preK-1st) to get in the fruit/veggie deal too. Hubby has several family members suffering from cancer/diabeties/cardiovascular issues to the point of immenant mortality. He keeps saying that he wants to do something but it isn't reducing meat and soda.
My mom suffers from diabeties but she won't give up/reduce meats and junky comfort food. The insulin makes her feel like she can compensate for it by adjusting the dosage. Although she is impressed with my progress this year and she has started a terrific garden project. I hope it produces so she has lots of veggies to eat.
