I like the C&O towpath as well, especially the 3 "Billy Goat" trails at Great Falls. Although, as the weather turns warm, it can be almost like a parade ground. It is very popular! But seeing as Kal's goal is to mingle with more people ...
I also run with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club. Another good way to meet people from around the county. For just $35 annual membership, you get 20 races all at different locations, terrains, distances. Great deal for great workouts. They also host drop-in runs. In fact, there's one in downtown Rockville this evening (bring a headlamp or flashlight!) at 6:30pm. Membership is not necessary for the drop-in runs.

This is an OLD thread. The weekend we moved here in fact. We got here when the power was out and couldn't move into our home in the 20902 zip code Silver Spring/Wheaton because of it. So we've been here for awhile and are mostly settled in but I feel so isolated from everything/everyone and am working out at home pretty much and walking the dogs.
Where does everyone workout here?

Hi hope everyone has their power back on. We got ours back late last night; thus i am able to get back on line. I joined SparkPeople the end of March 2012. I am trying to loose about 30 pounds through diet and exercise. I generally walk 6 days a week after work and am starting to build in intervals of running. Anyone living in the Kentlands area looking for a walking partner?
