I've been using my Gypsy to weld letters, but I was skeptical about Craft Room. I don't have a laptop either, so I need a fairly long USB cord to link up to my computer. There are definitely some drawbacks to Craft Room...at least, as far as I can tell, but I really like the fact that I can buy the e-cartridges for a little less.

There was a bit of a learning curve with the Gypsy, so I just wasn't sure I wanted to learn another system, but once you know the Gypsy, Craft Room is much easier. I use both now.

I recently saw a cute turkey bag topper idea on Facebook, using the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I've been meaning to make a few treat bags for the kids I teach at church.

Fun stuff!

Yes! I, too, enjoy the Cricut Craft Room. I really like to use it to weld text together. I look forward to meeting lots of new friends here on this team! Enjoy your evening.

Welcome to our team, Windy01! I love your smash book idea. That is probably a really smart way to stay motivated and honest with yourself. Those are two of my WORST hurdles to get over...motivation and self-honesty, and I think that a scrapbook might just be the ticket. Many people recommend a journal to document one's progress, but a smash- or scrapbook just kicks it up a notch.

I am excited that there are Sparkies who are also Cricut lovers, too! I love my Cricut so much! I have just recently started using Cricut Craft Room to cut my designs, and I really, really like it. Do you use Craft Room?

Wow! How exciting! A SparkPeople Cricut team! I LOVE my cricut!, and how fun to find over 500 people on SP who also love them!

I like to do paper crafts, and scrapbook. I like SparkPeople, and have been a member since 2007, but I am like a roller coaster, so I'm hoping this time to lose the weight for good. I am using my cricut to make a smash book to motivate me along the way. Here's wishing success to all my new friends!
