The DVD my kids will work out to is richard simmons sweating to the oldies he has a pile of versions. I got a pack of 4 and I think it was the 2nd or 3rd one actually had a young girl in it. Its fun because the people are not super models and the music is fun and of course richard simmons is hallarious. It made working out fun and not a chore. I told the kids even if you cant keep up just dance .
I have a lap band so my diet is high protein foods and 4-5 small meals a day. I have learned to not buy junk food or I will only get 1 thing for the house . If you buy it you will eat it. And have gotten other snacks like popcorn, fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, granola bars . I switched to only wheat breads. and 2 % milk little changes really do add up and kids really will learn from your changes. Oh and another thing I have had to get my son to do is slow down and take smaller bites he was woofing food down with huge bites . It takes your brain 20 minutes to realize your hungry so that is why you should take smaller bites you will actually eat less and not have that stuffed feeling 20 minutes after you eat.
Another great thing for the kids mine love games and they have the xbox 360 with kinect . They have the dancing games trust me after a few dances you are wanting to take a break. That is a great way to have fun and be working out and not even realize your doing it and for how long you are doing it . It's nothing to be dancing around for 2 hours. this will be great for winter when it's to cold to be outside
