I`m trying also baby steps first, like, I`m not going to supermarket if I`m hungry because I know I will buy a lot of junk food. I try to find healthy snacks for my kids and myself. And my daughter is like your son, she eats like there is no tomorrow.

The DVD my kids will work out to is richard simmons sweating to the oldies he has a pile of versions. I got a pack of 4 and I think it was the 2nd or 3rd one actually had a young girl in it. Its fun because the people are not super models and the music is fun and of course richard simmons is hallarious. It made working out fun and not a chore. I told the kids even if you cant keep up just dance . I have a lap band so my diet is high protein foods and 4-5 small meals a day. I have learned to not buy junk food or I will only get 1 thing for the house . If you buy it you will eat it. And have gotten other snacks like popcorn, fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, granola bars . I switched to only wheat breads. and 2 % milk little changes really do add up and kids really will learn from your changes. Oh and another thing I have had to get my son to do is slow down and take smaller bites he was woofing food down with huge bites . It takes your brain 20 minutes to realize your hungry so that is why you should take smaller bites you will actually eat less and not have that stuffed feeling 20 minutes after you eat. Another great thing for the kids mine love games and they have the xbox 360 with kinect . They have the dancing games trust me after a few dances you are wanting to take a break. That is a great way to have fun and be working out and not even realize your doing it and for how long you are doing it . It's nothing to be dancing around for 2 hours. this will be great for winter when it's to cold to be outside
I am new member and I desperately need some help. I put on 10kg last winter, and I havent got the chance to lose them. And as new winter is aprouching I am afraid that I will put on more kilograms. I have a job, sick husband and two kids 9 years old daughter and 2 year old son. After my first pregnancy I lost all my baby fat, but since my second pregnancy I lost nothing and even gain about 10 kg.
First question is: what is that DVD you are talking about? My daughter is starting to gain weight and she was always slim, and I wanted for her to loose some weight with me, but that must be fun and stress free.
Second question is: what kind of diet program do you use?

I know what your talking about with kids . my son is taking more after my side of the family which is stockier and my daughter is taking after her dad tall and lean . so I started exercising with videos and the kids started joining in and they actually will ask me to put a tape in and sure enough they both lost some weight . I never made them do it and it was fun richard simmons so it was almost like dancing and no pressure to be a certain size. I was suprised at how fast I could get them to start doing a healthy change .

Everything happens for a reason.... I was looking for something to get me started... I needed a SPARK...and I have found it here. I was at my goal weight about two years ago, and I started to slowly gain it over the summer as stress and life took over. Now I am back to 166, and really living a negative lifestyle. The thing that really is bothering me is that my 9 year old son is picking up my bad habits. I would like to reach my goal by his birthday. This time I am doing this for me, not for my dad or my husband, but me. To finally love and respect myself. I hope that joining a team will be the connection that I need to help me along my path.
