Welcome DNTHALL, I'm new to this team too! I work as a medical nurse. I work weekend option. If your happy working OB I think thats more important then hanging on to day shift. After you have been there longer you can probably get in line for a better shift. At least you won't get burned out because you didn't go for what you really wanted to do. I hope we can be friends!

Hello! I am a OB nurse working in a small hospital. I love my job but not my shifts. I currently work 2nd and 3rd shift which I have found very hard to eat correctly. Especially on 3rd shift. I have been a nurse for 10 years. I was a med/surg nurse for 7 years and gave up day shift to work in OB. Some thought I was crazy to give up day shift but I really wanted to work in OB. I do love 2nd shift and hopefully someday will be able to work all 2nd shift.
