Hi Folks, I'm Amy. I've been a vegetarian since seventh grade. So a good number of years (I'm in my late forties now!) My oldest daughter is vegan, so when she gave up dairy I cooked mostly vegan with dairy on the side for other family members. Once she grew up and moved away we went back to adding dairy and eggs to our diet. lately though I've felt my diet was too dairy heavy. Especialky if I'm restricting calories I tend to rely heavily on dairy to meet my protein goals. I've felt kind of icky and have decided to cut way back and see how I feel. So I'm doing "mostly vegan" these days I love to cook (and have done so professionally in the past) and own more vegetarian cookbooks than you could believe, but yet I'm still always on the look out for new tasty recipes to try.
