I promised my fiance if I went vegan I would ease him into it =-P I'm still eating a little dairy and free range eggs.

I think down the line I would love to go vegan! And I love cooking! I'm sure the site has been mentioned a ton of times but I love Oh She Glows! Every Sunday I pick out a few recipes, go grocery shopping, and make food to last the week.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll have to check out Vegan with a Vengeance! I'm about to read Yoga and Vegetarianism (my yoga studio just started a book club and it'll be our first book!), my yoga teacher also recommended A Diet for a New America. =-D I love having a stack of books ready go =-P

Goals and Rewards:

Complete the c25k program- get a foot analysis and new running shoes [complete]

Complete the Supreme 90 Day dvd set- Pedicure!

Complete the Spartan Sprint- Get a sweet Chicked tank top and/or shorts! [complete]

5 Pullups- Undecided

Finish the Spartan Sprint in under 2 hours- my fiance and I will be getting matching spartan tattoos!

Hi Ally,
I recommend "Vegan with a Vengeance". I've been a vegetarian for quite a few years but went vegan recently & LOVE IT!! You'll be amazed when you throw yourself into cooking how wonderful the food really is & how great it makes you feel!!! One word of caution, there is ALOT of cooking involved in this type of eating so, put on your cutest apron & get cooking!!

Hi everyone! I just recently joined this team and wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Ally (or Elphy), I'm 24 years old and live with my fiance in central new york.

I was a vegetarian for some time in college. When I met my fiance 2.5 years ago I was just starting to eat chicken here and there. Well, in the course of the past 2 years I kind of "forgot" or pushed it out of my mind why I didnt want to eat meat to begin with.

Recently, I've been trying to be healthier and more knowledgeable about what I'm putting in my body... which lead to several documentaries and books and seeing again why I dont want to eat living things. It breaks my heart.

So hi! I'm here, and always looking for good reads and recipes. =-D
