Hi,
I'm Michelle I'm new to this group! I'm excited to learn more vegan recipes! It's summer so i have not been cooking much at all! LOL Thank goodness for farmer markets!

Hi welcome I think vegan is just another label, it is very extreme if you eat no animal products at all but get a taste of animal some where that is a huge sin and never say you are vegan again. That is not right, so do what is right for you. the less animal you eat the better. Concentrate on high density foods, fruits and veggies, some nuts and seed for fat and protein. Get protein from beans and lentils. you don't need grains to be healthy. Good luck I hope thing work out for you

Good afternoon all!I would love to join your group.I am new to the vegetarian lifestyle and would like to transition to a vegan lifestyle.I have a few health issues T2diabetic and recently diagnosed with celiac sprue so need to be gluten free as well,and need to lose 40lbs!Recently a co worker who turned vegan spoke to me about it,and I jumped in way to quick.Ate vegan for a few days,didn't realize how it would improve my blood sugar and saw that drop really low a few times.So it became clear this would be the obvious choice to start reducing and get off my meds!We have a great garden and can't wait to get some great recipes,and advice from you all! Thanks .Diane

Hi sorry to hear nothing is working, maybe it is time to do something other than a doctor, doctors only look at the body like mechanics look at cars, try a practitioner that heals with food. somebody that looks for what is wrong not how to fix the symptoms. doctors are looking to fix the pain not what is causing it try a natropath homeopath. dietitian may even help. good luck

Mike, I am not eating any kind of meat, seafood or eggs at all. I am only eat home cooked meals and i cook every thing from scratch. I think my problume is Parsites. God know's what is my stomach pain come from. I am sick of going to the GI doctor. He does not do any thing for me. I allready change 6 GI's doctor in 6 years. I feel so alone in this. I am trying to be stornge and everything. Finally i am going to visit natural medicine doctor. Monday i am going to get to see him and get Colonhydrotherapy done.

I am just praying that will help me some. This is my last hope. I belive in naturalpathy treatments. I try all kind of home remdies. I am praying that natual medicine docotr come up with some thing that i can feel better. My stomach pain is since childhood. It come and goes. But now since i am getting old it is getting worse. Nothing working for me.

I will keep in mind of juicing. I will let you know after my doctor visit. At this point i can do any thing to feel better. I am not eating any junk or any thing that would hurt my stomach but still i have a pain. some thing it get so bad than during bowl movment i get so sharp pain and till last for 30-40 min. i have to laydown to relife with my pain.

Hi, are you still eating meat of any kind or fish/seafood, eggs if you are try cutting out all off that for a short time, maybe a week and see how you feel, you might want to eat all of your meals raw or as much as possible. raw fruits and veggies nuts and seeds digest easiest when in the raw state. another thing you might want to try to heal your stomach problem is juicing. juice by passes the stomach directly to the blood stream these for a while to see if they work. you will be healthier any way for just not eating animal foods

I was diagnosed with gluten/lactose intolerance last year. I am trying to figured it out my stomach pain. I can not have gluten and dairy products. I am eating lots of lentils, beans, fruits and veggies some time rice.

Hi welcome to the group, I have a question for you, I want to cut way back on grains especially bread, how do you fill up with out grains or beans, I eat beans but not all the time

Hi all. I am new to the group. I am not new to the vegetarian way of life. I love to eat veggies and fruits. I am also cutting out grains from my diet too. I am trying it mainly for health reasons. I have lots of stomach isues. I am not big meat or eggs fan. I can live without them.
So, if anyone has any tips or tricks for keeping up with this lifestyle please let me know. I can use all the help I can get. I need to keep up with my protein. I am always in low side.
