Hi & Welcome!! I too loved the Skinny Bitch and the Skinny Bitch in the Kitch. I'm mostly vegan, with a huge & successful recommittment in 2009. I have always kept seafood in my diet, but with my love for fried foods (which I haven't had ANY of since 12/31/08), it seemed like fried seafood found it's way into my diet on a very regular basis. So my new thing is ONLY raw seafood - no fried foods for me!

It's working well. I had my first MAJOR craving on Thursday night, which I squashed by making my own curly fries (baked, of course). They were awesome and totally satisified my craving.

I'll be checking out the Skinny Bitch Team - Thanks for the info!

Welcome here & have fun playing with your food!

Welcome to the team!

I'm also working my way towards veganism, but my problem is the eggs. My favorite low-cal snack is red beet eggs (minus the yolk) and these are very hard to give up for me.

Good Luck reaching your goals!

OMG! I LOVE the Skinny Bitch Books! I have read the first one, love the "in the kitch" recipe book, and just a few months ago I read the Skinny Bitch Bun in the Oven book! I know they are coming out with a few more (including Skinny Bastard! LOL!) and am really excited! I will have to look into that challenge! Is it posted in this section?!

Wow and welcome!!!!

We are mostly vegetarian, going vegan in January as part of a Skinny Bitch challenge I'm leading in another forum. I'm a single mom of three boys 12, 8 and 4 and we love being vegetarian. We're excited at being as vegan for one month, longer for me. I am off dairy except for my coffee, but I'm looking to give that up for the month so I can avoid the cream I need in it. We eat a lot of soy "meat", about three times per week, not a lot of tofu as my kids think they don't like it.

Thanks for joining our group!!!

Hello everyone! My name is Brenda, I am new to SP! I am a vegetarian currently, but am flipping back and forth between vegan and vegetarian. I have been off and on vegetarian since November 2005, but have been completely vegetarian since January 28th, 2008, so I will be celebrating 1 year at the end of this coming January!! I recently completed a personal challenge to eat all Raw for 30 days! I went 42 days before eating anything cooked again! I feel my best when I follow a Raw diet, but we (husband and I) are on a tight budget right now and it is hard to get enough nutrients with our budget, so I am eating a "regular" vegetarian diet right now.

I recently discovered that my body does not handle dairy very well at all (lactose-intolorant), but have been having a hard time giving it up. Since we just recently tightened our budget, I am still trying to figure out what we can afford (soy and other substitutes), but my goal is to be completely vegan for 2009 and so on!

My husband and I are currently trying to conceive our first child, so that is exciting and stressful at the same time! ;) I am taking a Vegan Pre-natal Vitamin, which makes me feel a little more at ease about getting my vitamins. See, I was taking a regular Pre-natal Vitamin before, then I found out that those are derived from animals, and also, the B vitamins are really low, so I switched about a month ago! I believe it has made a huge difference!

Anyways, that is my little introduction! I am just hoping that 2009 will be a much better year for me! I am DETERMINED to make it that way! ;)
