I'm working then. You are more than welcomed to walk on the team walk on 3/30, the last sunday in march. we're walking at strubb trail in downingtown.

I have plans the 15th and the 16th is my sister's bday. so, between palm sunday and a church event and going to NJ for my sister's bday, that's a busy weekend. the next week is Easter of course.

Hi and Welcome. I've been in this group for a while, but not very active lately. My ability to stick with my food plan pretty much went by the wayside in February. It would be great to walk sometime. IrishGirl and I met up for a short walk last month--we saw fox! I live near Kennett Square (on 926 between Rt.52 and Pocopson. The Pocopson park is good. It's got some hills that I hated at first, but really helped me lose weight a couple of years ago. It's up past the Pocopson Home, across from the Jail (don't worry--I haven't heard of any escapes). I hope the group has a get together.It would be great to see all of you and I really need a jump start get back the motivation!

thanks for the congrats. I lost a bit, then I was sick for 6 weeks and gained a bunch back b/c I didn't work out. Back to ground zero.

You hit the nail on the head. I hate huffing and puffing and turning read on what should be an easy workout. I think the whole world is looking at me. It's embarrsing. It's one of the reasons why I don't want to join a gym. Money is too tight for me to throw it away like that.

Start thinking of good places to walk down there . . .

Thanks for the welcome! I wish you were still in L.U. so that we could have worked out together! My goal is to find someone who is in the same boat I'm in that would want to work out with me. It's got to be easier to stick with a routine if you're doing it with a friend. My hubby gets annoyed that I don't use our Y membership, but he doesn't understand the embarrassment of working out in front of people looking the way I do... not to mention, turning bright red in the face and looking like I"m about to die during the workout!!! The monthly walks sound fun though - I'll definitely be interested and will look for threads on the next planned one. Thanks again! Also, congrats on your weight loss to date - doing great!

Hi. It's very nice to meet you! emoticon I use to live in Lincoln University. I am up in Phoenixville now. We are talking about having team walks that rotates around the area. I think I am in the same boat. I don't like working out alone. But, I am embarrassed and don't like working out in front of others b/c I am sooooooooooooooooooo out of shape.

Hey all! I was happy to find a small group of people in this area on the Sparks pages. I'm in Landenberg, close to Kennett and Avondale. Is anyone around this area looking for a walking partner? I saw that some of you are from the Coatesville area and I've heard of Boot Rd. but not sure where it is exactly. I do belong to the Y and am close to the Jennersville and the Kennett; however, I rarely go b/c I hate working out alone. Well, that's just an excuse, I don't like to work out at all! I've been getting up in the mornings before work and getting on my bike or elyptical, but know I need a better work out if I'm going to get the weight off. Have a good one,
