Thanks. Yeah that's true. Hopefully it stays that way and we are able to get to the end of the summer before she has to have the gallbladder surgery. I guess I just get a little nervous because of everything that has been going on. One of my sisters friends, his best friend just suffered a stroke and he was only 49. It's scary.

I am glad she took it so well as well. We will see how she does tonight at the viewing and tomorrow at the funeral.

I was walking around the mall yesterday for about 2 hours doing some running around to get things for today so I'm counting that as my cardio.

I definitely like videos. I will defintiely have to look into that one.

I hope so too but I'm not expecting any downtime. My online class starts Monday, my appointment with the surgeon is monday evening so we will see what happens there, Nysi finishes school next week so next weekend I'm making cupcakes for her class for her birthday which is 6/11 and her party is scheduled for 6/14. Also doing my internship here at work plus full time. It's going to be a busy summer.

I'm glad your daughter took it better, It's great that your was released from the hospital. If it was something serious, they would of kept her. When this is all over, I hope you can get some down time. I know it's hard to keep your motivation going for exercise, but keep at it. I sometime use it as a release when things pile up on me.

I did my 45 minutes on the elliptical and strength trained. I'm doing a push/pull routine. I work all the pushing muscles on day 1 and pulling muscles on day 2. Hopefully changing my routine will break this lousy plateau ARRRG! If you like doing DVD's, pick up Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. In 20 minutes, you will do your strength training and cardio. It is circuit training, she does 3 minute strength, 2 minutes cardio and 1 minute Abs - 3 circuits with no resting in between. Totally doable, but will kick your butt!! Has 3 different levels, level 1 is for beginners, when you can do that with ease, move on to level 2 - then level 3. It's back to basics moves, jumping jacks, butt kicks, jump rope (with out the rope) lunges, squats etc. Only thing you need is 5 lb wgts.

Yeah too much. Between work, school and now all this. I mean I knew It was coming but it's still hard. The viewing is this Friday and the funeral will be on Sat.

My daughter took it better.

They sent my mother home. We still don't quite know what is making her so dizzy. They gave her a meication that they think might help and she has to call her doctor but we'll wait and see. Then I have the appointment with the hand doctor for my hand to see about surgery. I was hoping things would slow down and they seem to not be. I really feel like I'm going to lose it soon.

Thank you again. This is the first I've sat down except for dinner since I got out of work at 5 today.

That's good. Did more housecleaning and laundry last night I counted that as my cardio.

I'm not sure how much more I will get done this week. This morning after I got to work I found out that my husband's grandmother passed away this morning. I'm still not sure waht is going to be going on with that as of yet.

Also now my mother is in the ER here at the hospital I work at. I'm hoping that it isn't anything serious but she has had heart problems back in January and in march she was in with acute pancreatitis, gallstone and hiatal hernia. They wouldn't do surgery because her heart wasn't strong enough yet. So everything is up in the air and it is not the best day. I also have to figure out how to tell my daughter about her great grandmother even though she knew it was going to happen. Ever since her great grandmother got sick and she knew she was going to die she gets hysterical when my mom or anyone else is sick thinking that they are going to die.

I went to the gym lunch time and did 45 min on elliptical. Hopefully, I will go after work to strength train. This weekend is my clean the basement weekend, :( NOT FUN! But yes, I will use it as my workout!

Good then may be pulling out our patio furniture and cleaning it off with my daughter will count as that as well. I also still worked on the room. Sunday night put together a new bookcase. I have to remember to get a plastic 3 bin storage container so I can keep all my Avon stuff in it. I also went to a few different stores over the last few days shopping to get stuff for the house. Next weekend I'm hoping to plant the flower bed if possible as long as it does not rain.

Hopefully I did. I would be great if I did. I also cleaned the kitchen, dining room before I finally gave up. Did a little too much. My hand is killing me and a little sore.

I did the summer/winter clothes switch yesterday, Oh how I dislike doing that. I went for a walk w/my daughter today for about 35 minutes. Go figure, I outlasted her. Walked her home then went for another 30 min walk/jog. Came back and painted her ceiling - I dislike that more than the summer/winter clothes swap. My back and neck are killing me! Now I'm just relaxing getting my spark points and watching HGTV.

Oh, house cleaning is considered a workout. There was an article on Spark telling how many calories you burn. Sounds like you burned quite a few - so I would consider it a cardio work out. Even outside work, like gardening, raking leaves etc. are considered cardio. You may have burned more than me!

Hope you had a great Memorial Day, i just made turkey hot dogs on the grill. BORING!

Honestly you are doing better than me. I've been spending the whole weekend going through my house, cleaning my bedroom from top to bottom and arranging everything, put away winter clothes and brought out summer stuff. Today I'm cleaning my kitchen, kiving room and dinig room as well as measuring for the flower I want to put out front and also getting out the porch furniture and cleaning it all up as well as laundry. I have done no exercising all weekend.

I'm hoping to get everything set up and finished and caught up soon so it won't be too far behind if I have to be off my feet for a few days due to the surgery.

I was able to leave work today at 3PM, so I went to the gym and got in my strength training. I separated my workout to Monday Push and Wed. Pull then Friday Pulling muscles. So, Today for Pull, I did Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and legs. I only did 10 min cardio, leg Hamstrings are still so sore from Wednesday, I did still leg dead lifts, and OH THE PAIN! Tomorrow I will go for a run, going to be beautiful out - YEAH!

Thank you. We can use it. Not sure what is causing my aunt's problems. I know. I've been running food over to her husband and talking to him. He is finally accepting thta she is going to die but it is going to be hard for him. She was his life. I seem to be the one that he responds to the best out of the family so I'm going at least 1/2 hour every week to see him and talk to him.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. I've watched people last forever and some that go quick. Too many within the last 5 years or so.

They probably are.

I'm not really sure yet. I see the surgeon on 6/2 to see what he wants to do. But the carpal tunnel isn't getting better. They gave me a large splint which is too hard to use at work so I use it at night to sleep. The smaller splint they gave me the neoprene caused me to have a fungus infection so I can't wear that. The numbness isn't quite as bad but I stil have constant pain and I am steadily losing weakness in my right hand so I have a feeling that surgery is inevitable but don't know hwen just yet. I should know after my appt on 6/2.

I will say a prayer for your Aunt and your husbands GM. Wow, 69, that's young. My daughter is going through something similar. My Dad past a couple years ago, and she was there with him up to the end. She was able to say goodbye b/4 he past and a couple days b/4 Easter, my husbands Dad past, it was totally unexpected - massive heart attack. They tried to revive him, but his brain was w/o oxygen for too long. They had to disconnect the breathing machines. He was cremated, and we just buried him last Saturday. It was hard for to lose both Grandpa's. What helps Amanda is her belief in GOD. We go to church regularly and my husband and myself teach Sunday School, I am more of an assistant. So, she takes comfort that they are with GOD and she jokes about how both her Grandpa's are up in heaven complaining about their wives, which is so typical of both of them.

Thanks. My aunt still isn't feeling well but they didn't find any blockages with the cardiac cath so I'm not sure what they are doing next.

My husband's grandmother is just wait She keeps fighting it. She's only 69.

I'm alright. Hanging in there. It's hard. I'm also trying to figure out how to explain exerything to my daughter. She has seen so many people sick lately between my father, mother, aunt and husand's grandmother. Now she is worried something will happen if I have my carpal tunnel surgery.

Good for you. I had the sales meeting so worked until almost 5, went to get my daughter, came home finished up dinner for her and my husband, went to the sales meeting and then got home at about 8:30 and got my daughter to bed and then did a load of laundry and waited for that as it had my daughter's uniforms for school in it.

I imagine you are. I'm going to try and get caught up tonight if I can.

Don't worry. I didn't get a chance to yesterday either. Had to work late, help with homework with my daughter, make dinner and by the time I was finished it was already 8 o'clock and was not in the shape to do anything. Today will be out as well. I have a sales meeting at 6:30 tonight while working until at least 4:30 maybe later. Also my aunt was admitted to the hospital yesterday and waiting for a cardiac cath. Got a scary phone call this morning.

My husband's grandmother was put in hospice over a week ago. She has stage IV cancer of the pancreas and liver. My husband got a phone call this morning on his cell at 6:15 but it wasn't anything abotu taht thank God.

It was cold for me to walk today outside, I went to the gym and did 35 min HIIT on the dreadmill, but first, I did a little over an hour of strength training in. Did Chest, Legs, shoulders and Abs.

I'M BEAT! Did pretty good eating today. Ate all clean, NO JUNK! I picked up some snaclite power peanut butter from GNC yesterday, It is GREAT! All natural with Flax, Honey, Wheat germ and egg whites. expensive though.

Did 1/2 hour walking at the mall yesterday and today I walked to my husband's grandfather's house to take food and visit him from Old Forge to Taylor and then back again which came to about 30 minutes as well as walked to the store Rossi's and back from my house.

I know it's scary. I'm not even as worried about the rain as much as I always rent a tent every year but I'm more worried because of how cold it is anymore.

Anysia will be 8. She will only have a couple friends over and it will be mostly family but I know what you mean. If it rains or is too cold I have to cancel completely as my house is not big enough for everyone. Family alone is almost 30 people when you have all 3 sides.

My daughter Amanda's bd is on 6/4 and her party is on 6/7. I hear ya, I'm hoping it don't rain either. It's suppose to be a pool party, and I can't imagine having a house full of kids. Wouldn't know what to do with them all. How old is your daughter going to be?

I got a little running in today. Tomorrow I will hopefully go to the gym. Amanda will be 12 (a tween) They grow fast!

I'm glad to see you're feeling better.

Unfortunately I get them often many time I work through them but everyon eonce in a while that doesn't work. What you may experience is an aura of a migraine. Sometimes you can experience them without getting a full blow migraine. I get them sometimes before I get mine.

The movie was alright. I mainly went to see it because there wasn't anything else in I liked. I knew Cathy liked them so I did it. I'm taking my daughter to see Prince Caspian today at 11:30.

I think it is supposed to rain. I will be happy once we get normal May weather. My daughter's birthday is 6/11 and I am planning her party for 6/14 and I'm beginning to get very nervous as to what the weather will be.

My husband got my heart rate monitor from Bike Nashbar WWW.nashbar.com. He spent around $45 or $50.00. The brand is Sigma. He orders alot of his bike supplies from there, that is his passion in life. I'm feeling a little better today, I was able to do some running outside with my Mother-in-laws dogs. I think I got a pretty good workout.

I believe I only had a bad migraine once, and I never want to experience that again, I hope you are feeling better. I've gotten what I believe to be ocular migraines, my vision went blurry, seen flashing lights and if I looked at numbers, the bottom number is missing half it it. Didn't last long, but scary.

Hopefully tomorrow we will have nice weather, I think it's going to rain though. Need to get out and RUN!

Thank you for checking on the heart rate monitor. As for not doing the cardio that is perfectly fine. I know how that is. Last Friday I had my problem with cramps and just had to stay on the couch and couldn't do much. Just making dinner was hard enough. No problem at all. Do your best. If not don't worry about it as today is another day.

I had a problem yesterday as well. I couldn't get onto sparkpeople to try and do the swimsuit and tried the treadmill for 20 minutes and then had to stop. I had been getting a migraine since about 2 o'clock and by the time I was on the treadmill I almost got physically sick.

Today I did both workouts for the swuimsuit challenge, 35 minutes on the cardio challenge on the treadmill and also 1 hour of grocery shopping. Going to eat lunch and do some cleaning and laundry. Trying to keep calories low earlier today so I can not worry as much. Going to dinner tonight with my best friend and then a movie. Although you can tell we are getting older. Instead of soda and popcorn we get a cappuccino for the movie. lol!!!!!

Hope you feel better. Thank you for finding out for me. As long as it tracks my heart rate and calories I will be happy.

I will find out where my husband got my heart rate monitor, prices and details and let you know. I know he didn't pay that much for it, may not be the best out there, but definitely does what I need it to do.

Hey, we need to have 1 get out of workout free card a Month, I have really bad PMS cramps today, I am not up to a work out. I am not whimping out at all, just can't get my body to move. I'm actually pretty excited that I this tread to keep me going. Promise, I will get back to it tomorrow. :) If I feel better later, I will try. I know it's personal, this is the 2nd time getting Aunt Rosie since getting off the pill and it's hitting me hard.

That's great. I want to get a heart monitor but I'm trying to see if I can find one that is reasonable. I just can't see paying $80 for one. So I've been looking on ebay.

That is really great though. It can be hard on your feet. I remember my husband when he started running outside and how sore his feet would be. He wouldn't say anything but you could tell by the way he was walking and would constantly not wear his shoes even his sneakers in the house.

Wow Kim, that's great! Sounds like you got quite a work out.

I did a 50 minute walk/jog/run! My heart rate monitor said I burned 669 calories. I'm used to the treadmill and elliptical at the gym. It is so different running outside. It may take me a while to get use to it. It's hard on the feet.

Everyone,

Is anyone interested in starting a cardio challenge? Maybe make sure to do 30 minutes of cardio (any type you want) every day. It will work in with the workouts and that amount of cardio won't hurt anyone. Please let me know. I figure start 5/15 so it will give other people to get a chance to get into it.
