Hi, my name is Cynthia and I just joined your team today. I am divorced with kids ages 19,15,13,and 9. I joined sparkpeople 2 weeks ago and as of friday lost 5 lbs but I feel better than I have in awhile because I am walking daily and tracking every bite. I have not posted a picture yet but will this week. I am getting married again next year and am in the process of getting myself back into the shape I once was. Glad to meet everyone.

Hi there!

I saw some new people here so I'll introduce myself. My name is Janine. I'm 45, married with two kids (13 yr old boy & 7 yr old girl). I joined Sparks about a year ago (I lose track of time). I have lost 9 pounds and been stuck for a while at the same weight. I am working out consistently and think I have more muscle. My motivation wanes at times, but I really do want to do this. I am a stay at home mom and work in the Fall as a R.N. giving flu shots.

TraceyLuLu, my midsection isn't looking like that today. That was before the leg injury. I am keeping that pic there for motivation. LOL!

Tammy39, I WISH my midsection looked like yours. But I'm blaming 2 c-sections and too many beers for my "muffin". And it doesn't help when I get a tan, except for my tummy. The reeaally white muffin is scarier than a tan muffin, trust me.

Hi,

Welcome Cathie! It is great to have you on our team. Please join us for the March Fitness and Drinking Water challenge. We just finished our February Fitness challenge. We all were really moving in February. We plan to move a bit more in March. Water is a very valuable tool in losing weight so we are doing that challenge as well. Hello Everyone !!!

I'm new to the team, but I joined Spark People in January of 2007 and lost about 40 pounds and because of an illness in my family and some personal issues I slacked off...I regained about 10 or so pounds and now I'm back to finish what I started...I turned 42 this month and I've been married for 20 years. We have two children ( a daughter who is 14 and a son that is 18) We have a pet hamster and a parrot... I love spending time with my kids and just hanging out... I'm from a family of five with down home cooking and eating habbits...That was the start of my problem...lol When I got married I weighed 114...I dont think I'll ever be 114 again but I just want to feel like ME again! emoticon

Come and introduce yourself to the team. Let us know where you are from and any other tidbits you would like to share.

My name is Lisa and im a 42 year old mother of three - 2 girls 25 and 12 and a boy 16. Im also a grandmother of 2 beautiful little girls who are almost 3 and almost 2 (what a story there!!!) I live in Ontario, Canada.
I worked in the automotive industry for the last 12 years and have just recently been laid off (for the umpteenth time) and decided that was it. I took my buy out and im about to embark on a new journey in life, thanks to sparkpeople. Since i have started here i have come to enjoy learning all i can about nutrition and lifestyle and I started taking a university course in Nutrition. I have also applied to go back to College full time and take a Human Service worker course - the reason - i am starting my own weight and lifestyle councelling service. I currently have 5 clients and my first appointments are booked for next week.
Yes im a busy person and i love to be that way - i seem to keep up better. I will try my best to make and keep this team as interesting and helpful as i possibly can
