hi, i'm in the process of loosing weight and getting into better shape. i ride a sidwinder 24 speed recumbent trike equipped with an electric assist hub motor on the rear wheel. the trike is front wheel drive (both wheels) with rear steering. it tracks very well in the dirt & gravel because it is all wheel drive. the trike is very comfortable with a wide mesh seat with adj. lumbar support. most of my rides includes our dog trotting along side, which keep my speed down.

it's great to see that there are a few other recumbent riders here.

Hi, I'm new to Spark People and new to this group. I am about to buy a hybrid bike for exercise purposes. I test drove a Raleigh Cadent Saturday and wanted to try the Trek F/X but the bike shop didn't have one in stock. I just turned 44 last weekend and am looking to get in shape and lose some extra pounds. Look forward to "meeting" everyone and getting to know y'all!
