I've also found road cycling to be more enjoyable than MTB'ing.

Friendly advice: Watch for motorists. Very few of them are watching for you.

Ride safe!

Welcome to the team. Don't you just love those group rides, you meet the nicest people. I have learned to love the trail over the road (no traffic or dogs).

Great to have you joining our Team!

I rode Kal-Haven a couple years ago from my son's apt. out near Gull Lake...had a blast!

The Apple Cider Century is in my parent's back yard...my old stomping grounds...spent my middle school thru community college years living in Three Oaks. Have wanted to do that ride, but won't be able to get back there for it this year as I've been living in upstate NY for 30 years or so and am trimming my travel costs.

Looking forward to having you share your SPARK and your Apple Cider experience too! :-)

Hello! My name is Heather. I have been biking/cycling for over a year now. I started spinning spring of 2010 and loved it. I began riding around town and on trails with a friend. Completed my first Kal-Haven Trail Ride from Kalamazoo Michigan to South Haven, Michigan August 2, 10 (from my friends house that was 36 miles just going there). I have completed the trail ride 3 times this summer. In April I purchased a road bike and have loved it ever since. I am now learning to love the road over the trail and have put quite a few miles on since the purchase. I am hoping to do the Apple Cider Century ride (100 miles) and am debating on doing the 4-day Independence Ride across the state. I might save the later for next year.
