Better by far. Today, cooler, blustery, no ride so I resorted to hiking up and down the hill, where we live. I miss riding more. Can winter just zoom out to spring? On the cat-eye, I re-programed it myself after installing the batteries, putting in all sorts of details- i.e. rotation of tire at the weight I was. Now, I'm 27 lbs. lighter and don't know if I need to recalibrate it again?

I did a road ride yesterday, 16 miles. It was in the 50's, a little cool, but comfortable conditions. With all the mountain bike riding, I've been doing, I had hoped to see a better mph, but it was close to 12, so I can't complain. Any riding is better than none!
I switched my ride, when the weather is cool/cold in the south to mountain biking. I'm able to warm up quickly and enjoy cycling through winter unless it's really rainy. 15 miles of more fun than I know what to do with, yesterday! Today- 30's, snow flurry or two and fairly windy. I'll postpone til more favorable conditions. With rain from last night, need a day or so, for dips on the trail to dry out! This burns calories like nothing else. I love road biking, as well.
I still view myself as a novice rider. I ride off-road but nothing too rigorous. I usually ride solo since so far I haven't found a biking companion or local group yet, but would like to find some other local enthusiasts. Meanwhile, I bike when I can work it out - not often enough!
