This looks like a great group, and one that may inspire me to keep on track. My weight crept up after I went from an outside, active job to a desk job, especially when I added grad school on top of that. Now I bike in to work to get at least some exercise in every week. It's 5.4 miles round trip, and I try to do at least three bike-in days per week. Easy in spring, summer and fall, but tougher in winter when the weather gets wet. That's helping, but I need to get some longer rides in, AND not fall into the emotional eating pit! Next bike ride goal is to add at least one 20-mile rider per weekend. Until I finish my degree, that's probably going to be tops I can do.
