Welcome to this group. The Trek 1000 is great purchase. - As said by others - I would not wait until Sunday (unless it is raining where you are - I hate cleaning my bike) ... take it out for a quick spin (and wear a helmet)

Enjoy the new bike!
I had a Trek 1000 and liked it a lot.
Make sure it fits. Many people give up on cycling because riding isn't fun. Fit and comfort are important parts of the fun.

You can do a lot with saddle adjustments and stem length.

Sunday seems too long to wait when you're itching to put a 'new' bike through its paces. No matter when you get the ride in, ENJOY!

group!!! I bought a used Trek 1000 yesterday. I haven't had a chance to really ride it yet other than a brief test ride yesterday but hope to take it out for a spin Sunday afternoon.
