Welcome and glad you found SP..There is so much information on this site. THats great that you can ride your bike to and from work...
I've been with Spark for 2 months and have lost 16 pounds. Last summer I started biking with DH (a huge bike fan). Then I bike commuted to work 4 days a week (4 miles one way). Ended by gaining weight because I wasn't watching what I ate. So in January while searching online for a calorie counter, I found Spark. I'm looking forward to April when I'll start bike commuting to work again. I live in Michigan and I don't bike in the winter (unlike the DH). I'm hoping this will help with the weight loss and I enjoy the rides, too.

Welcome to the team, glad you joined us. DH dragged me kicking and screaming into the cycling world. I didn't want to do it, I wasn't going to do it. Now I plan my week around the weather so I can get my rides in. I prefer less than 70 mile rides, but that may change.
One Day at a Time:
1) 10,000 steps daily
2) fruit & vegie at every meal
3) aerobic or strength train every day
4) 7 hours sleep daily
5) check in with SP daily
June 2014 goals:
1) lose 4 pounds
2) finish walk way
3) finish blocks for Forest Service quilt
4) scan old photos
It's never too late to be what you might have been.
I am new to the team, but not to SparkPeople. I started in 2006, lost 66 pounds. I am back since Feb 15th, I have lost 10 lbs.
I love road biking! I rode my 10,000th mile last summer since 2005. I was in Biking Across Kansas in 2007. Love the long rides. The Freedom of riding out in the open. And the sights to see.
I am back with SparkPeople as I get back in shape for the new season.
