Tabalf, Welcome to the team. At my house, it's just the opposite. My husband is just starting to ride with me. He has lost weight and is riding much stronger than last year.
Keep going! There are lots of great suggestions on this site. And feel free to ask any question.
TABALF: Hello..My name is Christopher..Welcome to the team! I am new to Cycling post..but I have been an avid rider since I could pedal! Congratulations on your choice! Just hop on and pedal..it will all fall in place in due time! Enjoy!

Welcome to team. It's great having you as a part of it. There are so many wonderful people here to talk too about cycling and other items that you will grow to love this team too. Good luck with your goals.
Good for you, getting out riding with your husband! Both my husband and I ride but I ride more than my husband. I speak to many husbands, out on group ride, who wish their wives would ride with them. I think we wives can get intimidated and embossed buy how mush slower we ride than our husbands.
BTW: you can be a better cycling partner without losing weight! Last year I hired a cycling coach who taught me techniques to become a faster, stronger rider. Now, since I have also lost weight, I am getting a little faster. I know that everyone can’t afford a cycling coach but, if there is university nearby where you live they may have a cycling coach or talk to the leaders of the local cycling clubs for recommendations for people who can coach you.
Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.
Welcome to the team!!
Your intro sounds just like my story! I've had my road bike about 2 years and I haven't put nearly the amount of miles on it that I should have, but I'm working on changing that!
Glad you're joining us...

I am new to spark and I have been riding a road bike for a year now. I need to lose weight so I can go faster and be a better cycling partner to my husband who is an avid cycler.
