I am not working, so at present time I am planning to be there. I'l be riding a blue Kona wearing a Kona jersey unless it decides to snow that day haha. Got to love this Ohio weather. Also I think you might be right about the picture location. Who know maybe I can get my picture done while at mohican, and do it right on my sparkpage.

i've ridden mohican plenty of times. i actually used to be the NE OH and western PA ride cooridator for the spokejunkies (or as they used to say the "spokemaster or the northshore hub") i have been mostly training for and doing short tris, they are usually on sunday mornings while the SJs rides are saturdays, that would wear me out for the race on sunday.
I am probably going to do the mohican kick off ride, i am having some shock trouble on my mtb, so if that can be resolve i should be there. if you happen to go, i will have my titus racer x (has a front fender and is brushed aluminum) and most likely will be wearing a bright yellow jacket (so i am easy to find if i should fall off into a ravine!)
if you havent ridden with that group before, the 1st ride has all levels of riders, newbies to racers. everyone is pretty friendly.

i just checked out that picture again, it looks like it may be vultures knob (wooster)

Unfortunately that photo is not of me, I usually ride alone so it is hard to get one. I got that phot from the spokejunkies website. I believe it was taken at Mohican Wilderness though. Whick is up in the Loudenville area (NE Ohio). My nephew started riding with me last year, and when I brought up riding this year he is as excited as I am about riding. Maybe I can ditch that picture and got one of me flying down the trail instead. If you like to ride dirt, check out SPokejunkies.com if you never have before. Best of luck to you MAGELLAN1. Remember being careful and having fun are oxymorons HAHAHA

Welcome to the team. I am glad to see someone from MI on the team. I am originally from MI but now I'm in Cali and getting ready to move again. I also a member of another team that is focused in Flint. I'm sure once you get back into cycling you will see the pounds coming off. Paying attention to what you are taking in is also very important. I hope that you reach your goals and have fun doing it.

Hi Team. I am new here. My name is Jason and I'm 28 years old. I live in Flint, MI and I am trying to get a bit healthier. I lost 80 pounds over about a year and a half and I have gained 25 pounds back. I want to lose 50 pounds and make healthier choices. I have recently been getting back into biking. I loved it as a kid. My wife and I enjoyed riding some mountain bike trails in Holly, Michigan last summer and I want to get out there more this season!

Looking forward to meeting some people, getting some riding tip, and hearing your stories!

Pedal on!

I am new to this SP team. My name is Kevin and I live in central Ohio. I am not new to biking by any means. I have restarted riding bikes in the mid eighties when I saw my first mountain bike. I have had several bikes since then. I current have two bikes that I ride. My baby is a Kona Kahuna mountain bike that almost never sees asphalt. Then two years ago my wife bought me a Sun Recumbent that I use on the road. Last summer I put about 150 miles on each last year I am hoping to increase those numbers to 200 each this year. I was able to get the Sun out today for the first time. I could only do 5 miles.:(
It is alot harder in the country than when I lived in the city. I hope to tell all theat the five is easier in the future. My best to and have fun!
