Thanks about the profile picture. We plan to use it for our Christmas card the year.

LOL--I wouldn't be talking either! I love the family profile pic, BTW.

Oh! Only 5 months. That’s much better. Better watch that tendency to exaggerate.

I know what you mean about 50 degrees. We had some cold mornings during the California Coast Classic. One morning it was 45 degrees! My DH and my riding buddies were teasing me because I was not talking that morning until I warmed up. I was riding but still cold. When the temperature reached @55 I started talking!

Okay, maybe only 5 months... I am a wimp about the weather, so don't ride when it's below 50. So there are days that I can take to bike off the trainer in the winter, but from Nov - March, it's cycing indoors and doing other stuff outside.

6 months!!!?!?!?!?!? DRC2205!!! Your bike is on the trainer 6 months out of the year?!?!?
WOW! I would be bouncing off the walls if I could not get outside to ride most days. The only reason I use the trainer is because I don’t have time to get out to ride, not because of the weather.

So I guess you do those “winter sports” too.

I’m looking forward to my “forbidden streets” ride on Christmas and New Year’s Day. My DH and I ride on normally busy, dangerous streets that have no space for cyclists. These are the 2 days each year where there is no traffic!

Gee Don, at 49 you’re a younger to my 54! Welcome to the group. What winter sports do you do? I live in Southern California so we have the same boring, outdoor sports all year around.

Hi everyone,

The weather is getting almost too cold to do much riding and I'm changing over to winter sports, but even some winter mountain biking can be fun. I'm a vegetarian (25 years) and an old guy (49 next month), but I just keep getting up and trying and trying :)

Nice to see everyone again.

Have a great day!
