Thank you all so much for the warm welcome, gifts, and note and for stopping by my Angel's page. The holidays are always a bit emotional. The year she died it was Thanksgiving day, and we had to go pick out her dress the day after and it was so hard to see everyone so jolly and ready for the big shopping season and we were there for such a sad occasion, to pick out a princess dress to bury our baby girl in.. SO hard.. Even today I just don't want to go out shopping after Thanksgiving.. We had done a bit of our shopping ahead of time and the gifts that we bought for her we ended up giving to her two best friends (twins). Anyways, trying to not ramble! Today the kiddos and I are going to Church this morning then I hope to come home and do "Walk it Out" on the Wii and do some laundry if we hope to get dressed this coming week! Have a blessed day all!
Welcome to the team. We are a very supportive group so you are in the right place. Sorry for the loss of your daughter. Probably the hardest loss is that of a child, they should outlive us but we don't know what the Lord has planned for us. God Bless you and your family this holiday season. Pat
Hi, I am Chandra, wife to a great guy (who has no weight issues!) Mom to 5 beautiful children. Though I lost my oldest daughter 9 years ago Nov. 22. That was the hardest thing in my life to deal with. It also has many aftermaths for me.. I deal with anxiety and depression off and on as the seasons/come go and anniversaries/birthdays come up. However, I am trying to gain my life back and find happiness in every day. I am still one very blessed momma! I have four other blessings, that are here and need a mom to be here now for them also. I have 3 boys here and 1 girl. The boys are 11, 10, and 3. MY other daughter is 5. My oldest was 5 when she passed and so that makes it a very "Emotional" year dealing with her being 5 and the worry that tries to creep in ya know.. Anyways, I am trying to get my health back. I have started a program through the Veteran's Administration (I got out of the Navy in 94, served 4 1/2 years and got out). My husband is also still in the Navy Reserves, just made Chief!! YAY. Okay, back to my plan. The MOVE program is through the VA and I see the nutritionist once a month and go over different plans, but things have been so slow going. I am very blessed to be a part of the group though and am very happy for my care through the VA, all the blood work and different test they do that lets me know exactly where I am and what needs to be done has been a huge help! I had prediabetes and prehypertension back in April, both of those have gotten much better, I lost 27 pounds since then, but I started sp and used my current weight from the day I joined.. I joined this group because with four kids I really need to find ways to be as frugal as possible! Look forward to meeting you all!
