Hi GEEKYME, I'm so far from being a professional dancer, it's ridiculous! I have been at clutzy, beginner status for about 27 years now, but I just don't care. I enjoy it & that's all that matters. Have you seen the new weekly goal? It translates b'dancing with strength training (at least, that's what my arms said ;) I love your member name -hilarious! Lauri

Welcome to the team! There aren't many that are professionals here so you are definetely welcome on this team! We just all have a passion for bellydancing. I am glad you started with amiramor her tapes are really fun. That is who I started with also. There is also a website you can go to that is really helpful it is called expertvillage.com. It is a how to site on everything you could possibly imagine...including bellydancing.
Hi. I'm Alicia. I'm getting married on July 8 (this Tuesday) I'm new to Belly Dancing, but have recently started using a DVD by Amira Mor. I have always thought the art of dance was beautiful and loved the feminine curves and movements the dancers have. I would like to join this group and start shimmying off the weight. I have found it to be more fun than the average video workout. I am not a pro, but I hope that doesn't preclude me from joining this group.
I am also a vegetarian and have 4 kids. I am a web designer. My fiance calls me his geekette - and while I am not as technologically advanced as most geeks like him - I do fit the mold and keep to myself. I am hoping a little more self-confidence will help pull me out of the shell I seem to be in lately.
