Since you belong to the YMCA, ask them to show you exercises that may be helpful for your condition. Things that you could do without risk of injury. Maybe you could walk for a few minutes every day. Take it one day at a time. Step by step Never give up on yourself.

Hello everyone!! I am here to gain some friends who might help me lose 136 pounds. Yes, I am MORBIDLY overweight and I need serious assistance. So, anyone who has ideas and suggestions would be most helpful. I am 66 years old and I have had four strokes, the last of which caused me to lose a good deal of my speech. But I really enjoy talking through my hands - aka, typing. I am also a creative writer and an artist. I am in Central Illinois and I am a member of my local YMCA. I am able to do some exercises on the recumbent bike because my left foot is bad. It get very painful to do a lot of different exercises. I am essentially a lazy person, so if anyone can offer me challenges that will help me would put me in the weight loss bracket. I am looking forward to losing a good deal of weight. I enjoy having fun and laughter is my best friend.
I enjoy crocheting and I am an artist and a creative writer. My favorite TV channels are the History channel and PBS. I very much enjoy watching the Antiques Roadshow.
