Greetings from Northern IL! I'm new here by a suggestion from my sister who said this site is awesome! I have been struggling with weight my entire life and now that I'm in my 50's I have to get really serious about being healthy. I have a tough time with motivating myself, as depression and stress have taken their toll on me the last 10 or so years. I feel big changes will be coming up and I want to be mentally and physically ready for them. I'm hoping, with help, I can change my eating habits and my stubborn mind-set in regards to putting myself last on my lists of things/people/anything to take care of. I will try to make it a habit to log in everyday to track my food, which I know would be a big help. The hardest part is breaking down the home-made recipes into trackable items. But I'll try. I keep saying "a day at a time" and I'm going to focus on that for now. Good luck to everyone, and also to me!
These things take time, and there will be mountains to climb, but persevere and you will reach your goal. Baby steps! Don't stop! Love yourself!
