Hi! My name is Jennifer and I'm rejoining SparkPeople after a few years away. I had some success when I used it about 4 years ago, and life just got in the way so I strayed from it. I had a beautiful baby boy in December and then turned 30 in April. I'm at the heaviest I can ever remember being - 265! I'm having foot surgery next week, and then again 3 weeks later, which means I wont be able to really exercise for a little while. I'm hoping that cutting out carbs and eating more fruits & veggies will help jump start my journey. I make my son's food - fresh fruits, veggies & meats...so I know right now he eats better than I do! HaHa!
My favorite form of exercise is riding my bike. Two summers ago I would ride 25-30 miles a day, about 3 days a week. Last year my husband & I bought a house that needed more work than we had anticipated, so I didn't get to ride at all. This summer I haven't gotten to ride very much either, because my son isn't old enough to go on long rides in the trailer yet. I try to get us out for walks, but because of my foot pain we don't go very far.
I'm looking forward to a healthier me and reacquainting myself with the excellent resources that SparkPeople offers.
