Welcome! I think that's why I love Spark People so much. The program is tailored to you and where you are right now. if you plug in your information, current weight, goal weight, when you want to reach that goal and how much you are willing to exercise, SP will calculate your calories for you. It's in stages so you start slowly and build through each stage. You can also talk to your doctor (which I would do anyway just to make sure you are ok to exercise) for help with your particular health issues.

HI, i JUST STARTED THIS AND AM HAVING LOTS OF TROUBLE LOOSING. BAD HIP AND STROKE MAKE EXERCISE HARD, BUT AM WALKING 1 MILE A DAY ON TREDMILL.. LOST 4 LBS. IN TWO WEEKS, AM NOT SURE ABOUT HOW MANY CALORIES TO EAT , OR ANYTHING ELSE. I NEED HELP. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE SOMEONE GUIDE ME ALONG UNTIL I GET IT.
