I run for me and very glad that this group is here. I have completed 11 successful half marathons in a single year at a plus size body. I may not be the fastest or the strongest but I run with the biggest heart!

it is SO freeing when you realize it doesn't really matter what other people think. i used to run at night so no one would see me, and i was out of town and went running and realized if i didn't care who saw me there, i should take that home and use it. at least i'm doing something while they're standing there!
Absolutely, we're here to encourage, cheer, commiserate, educate and celebrate!
At yesterday's inaugural Formula Run on our new local F1 track, I saw lots of L-XL+ sized bodies moving as best they could along a challenging, rolling course in the fog and humidity (thought this was supposed to be Fall!). Alone or in teams, they're out there doing something exciting, while others are still tucked in bed or making excuses.
I used to be criticized for starting this team; but, you have proven the naysayers wrong, and I'm so very proud of you all, and honored that you have stuck by us.

Love the motivation I get from you all. I used to think everyone was watching me as I slogged along and were making judgements. But now I realize most people could care less and are usually very encouraging. Thanx
