Welcome to the team, I, like you, was super excited when I came across a team that seemed to accept me where I was!
Here's to being slow and fat, but doing still it!

You can not change yesterday - it's done.
You can only dream of tomorrow.
The only day you can change is today.
What are you going to do today to reach your goals of tomorrow?
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it GREAT

I know what you mean - I felt like I really HAD to join, too, haha! However, I've never been a runner before so will start by improving my walking speed with jogging intervals. Good luck with your goals!

Welcome to our team, BA, and hope you'll have fun here!
Yep, you're doing a lot more than most folks watching from the sidelines - and you're probably inspiring someone who IS watching you go by.

Welcome to the team! I know what you mean. I ran a marathon a 9 halves about 60 pounds ago. I gained ll my weight back and now I am trying again. Hope to run the Seattle Half Marathon on Thanksgiving weekend. Here's to both of us.
I run because I don't have to.
I mean, this is perfect!!!
I used to run regularly, about 8 years and 40 lbs ago. I still enjoy going to races, so I do them long and slow. :) I figure I am still doing more than anyone on the sidelines!
I can't wait to keep reading up and sharing experiences.
