It's all relative, isn't it? I aspire to be as fast as you are slow! That's awesome about your first marathon coming up. Hopefully, since it's near the beach, it will be relatively flat.
I'll be doing a half while you are running your marathon. Good luck!
Hi, Im Nicole and I am new to this site but not so new to running. I was an athlete through high school and part of college but then got our of control with my weight and physical fitness. Since college I have run a bunch of loccal 5Ks but never anything more until June of 2010.
I started seriously running in June of 2010 to help me lose weight and get healthy.
I have since run a bunch of 5Ks, a 10K, my first half marathon and will be running my first Marathon this upcoming weekend in VA Beach! Im not the fastest runner out there but I can run for long periods of time. I run about a 10 minute mile. Im excited to join this forum and to join sparkpeople.com! I hope that I can help others achieve their goals just like I have! Everyone needs to realize that if you dream it, you can do it!!! I never thought in a million years that I would run a marathon. well here i am 6 days away from my first marathon!
