Hey! What I have done while at school was do the Insanity videos in the dorm lounge. Will you have access to one next year? Plus by using the dorm lounge you can invite your hallmates. Also, does your school have salad bars in the cafeterias it would be a great alternative then eating the prep food.

Hello. I'm a college student on vacation right now. This may or may not surprise people, but when I got to college, I lost a ton of weight. Why? Reason number 1: I was walking everywhere. At home, I never did that. Reason number 2: I didn't bring along any peanut butter or fiber one bars, my two biggest weaknesses. (I know, how bad can those be? Well, what happens when you eat five of the 140 calorie bars in one day and spoon peanut butter straight from the jar). I have a very close family and we've all dealt with weight issues, so my mother is very understanding about not keeping those in the house when I'm around. So after being 170 before freshman year, I went down to 160, then came home for winter break and bounced up to 180. I've been maintaining 179 all summer. At college, it was unbelievably frustrating that I couldn't prepare/cook my own food. I am addicted to red bell peppers, so my number one plan when I get to college is to sneak pepper slices into the cafeteria and then add them to whatever cafeteria food I'm eating and maybe add a salad. Also, I have a love/hate relationship with the gym. It's great, but kind of inconvenient because I have to pack up all my stuff and walk across campus for an hour workout. I've been thinking about buying a few exercise videos for my dorm room. Can anyone recommend one, especially one I can use for 30 minutes in a small space? Any other tips would be great! Thanks!
