hello everyone! my name is azeerah. iam a stay at home daughter. LOL. okay i havent been going to school for almost a year, but this year iam starting my college days. i am looking forward to it though. and while i stay at home almost a year, i have gain a little weight. :D okay, maybe not little, ive gain a few kilos. and iam determined to lose it. iam an obese, and there's nothing i can be proud of it, people make fun of me, and people stare at me always. :( i am just hoping y'all can help me :) thank you. emoticon

hi, I'm a 19 year old college freshman in NY. i always had a little weight trouble but worked out a lot and then i gained 20 lbs in college. I was really shocked by how unhealthy my body is, so I'm trying to eat healthier and I've taken up yoga. my goal is to lose 47 lbs. emoticon

Hello All! I am 21, and a junior at the University of Wisconsin. Im double majoring in political science and international relations with a minor in chinese. I am always busy and if Im not, the only thing I want to be doing is relax. I need extra motivation from people to keep exercising and remind me to keep on track of my calories. I want to lose this weight for me, but I want it done by end of August because I have been abroad for a awhile and I will be returning then, 2 weeks earlier than everybody thinks, to surprise my best friend on her 21st! I want to go back with new lifestyles ready to start my life anew when I return!!

I do this for me... and my Wedding Dress!!

Hey everyone, I am 36, FHSU Junior (I returned to school thanks to our sucky economy and the resulting loss of my job) and currently living in Florida. I am a Management Information Systems major with a minor in network security. I am thinking of amping it up to a double major, but with my CCNA exams coming up in the fall, I am a bit leery. I am so sick of being big, nothing fits right...designers just don't cut clothes for ladies who are larger that don't look like tents. The main reason I am so focused though on weight loss is that I am really feeling the weight when I get up in the morning! Wow, talk about stiff, joints popping and no energy! So I am taking vitamins and getting off my butt!

Hind sight is always 20/20, we cannot correct the past,but we can learn from it!

I am graduating with my AA this semester and will be joining ASU online for my Bachelors. I started dieting on my birth day this year March 8th, shortly after I joined SPARK. I now weigh 220 currently give or take a pound. I feel great am really excited about this site! I am looking to get my Bachelors of Science in Sociology so I can start doing social work. Hey everyone! I'm a sophomore in COLLEGE (of course). I gained the freshman 15 and then some. Okay, a LOT more. My goal is to fit into the jeans that I wore on the FIRST day of college. Thankfully, my college has an option to look at the nutritional information for the food available, so I usually check what's available for that day and try to keep my main entree under 500 calories with my sides under 100.

I'm a sophomore at Clarion University in PA.

I'm really just trying to get fit and get some confidence.

I'm taking off this semester, but I still spend most of my time on campus. I don't have a place of my own so I mostly have food that can either be microwaved or I go to the campus dining hall. Diet high in convenience and calories, check.

Hello oats_XOX I understand feeling like it is going to take alot to balance everything in my life and lose weight. But I was reading a book that said that we need to put our weight loss and our health first before everything else in our life and then it will all fall into place a whole lot easier. Hey guys,

I am Tessa and new to SparkPeople, though I meant to join ages ago!!! I am a single mother of a beautiful 4 year old, a full time college student, and I work 2 part time jobs. Whew! Somehow though all that running around doesn't seem to constitute a workout to my body! LOL

I started my weightloss regime around Christmas last year - I weighed 215lbs. at that point and couldn't believe it!! I wanted to make sure that my weightloss was legit so I made a goal to get my weight down as far as possible without ANY excercise - the end result being to change my eating habits and make it stick.

Well, so far so good, as I now weigh around 175. Not bad I think - 40lbs lost on simply changing my eating habits. I think that will help me out in the long term and I feel I now have a good foundation.

I decided it's time to add in the healthy workout routine now since I have been platued at this weight for about 2 months. So ... here I am! Looking for nonsensical workout routines that can last my life - not fads or gymrats etc that will only last so long.

My current goal? To get down to 150 by some point in January. Let's see if it's possible eh?

JOIN A SPARKTEAM.
Obviously if you're reading this, you've already start doing that. I recommend joining 2 to 3 sparkteams @ least to get yourself grounded to have like-minded people like you doing the same thing.
