Admittedly, having the Lap-Band and using it correctly is the primary thing that keeps me full. That said, "using it correctly", means focusing on proteins first, followed by healthy carbs and fiber. Those are the key - eat those (with or without a surgically-implanted device :-) and it should help with fullness and satiety.
Drinking a lot of liquids between meals also helps. Many people, especially if they are, or were, overweight - lose the ability to really discern hunger from thirst. And too many people unfortunately grab for some calorie-laden food, when all they really needed was a glass (or 2 or 3) of water.
