Hi! I saw this team on another Sparkfriend's page. I made my Cursillo in 1991 in Maryland. I was very active in my group until I moved to Delaware in 2008. I haven't found another group in Delaware, no Ultreyas or gatherings, but I have found a wonderful faith filled community church and recently left my beloved Episcopal church, my faith since the cradle. I also was very involved in Chrysalis when I was in Maryland and still keep in touch with many butterflies that I had the privilege to serve and share the love of Jesus.

May you all be blessed in your journeys and I look forward to being a part of your Sparkteam. emoticon DeColores!

Hi!
My name is Glenda and I am happy to find a reunion page. I went to The Great Banquet in 1993, I think it was. It was in Zionsville, Indiana. I joined a reunion group and was active in the community until I moved to the southside of Indianapolis. My reunion group was 4 ladies including myself. We had a hard time finding times to get together. We were able to get the 4 of us together once. Then, the next time we met, it was just 3. Our 4th member was killed in a car accident.
So, then the 3 of us tried to keep going, but one of the three moved to Florida. Then, it was just 2. She and I stayed in touch, but it was never the same. She was going through a very difficult time with her family and eventually we simply lost touch.
Life moved on for me as well. God continues to work in mysterious ways in my life. I am excited to join with others who have experienced God in similar ways that I have.

De Colores, Team! My name is Larry -- I attended the Albany (NY) Episcopal Cursillo #11 in 1986, a co-ed weekend, with my new bride. The Cursillo/Tres Dias/Koinonia/Emmaus method has been a major part of our spirituality and life in Christ ever since!

This past weekend I served on team for the Diocese of Pittsburgh "Anglican Fourth Day" men's weekend -- we had 18 Pilgrims, and I was thrilled to serve as a Table Rollista again. We hope that our three teenage children will enjoy "Happening" soon; Deb and I were "Mom and Pop" for Happening weekends in Albany before we moved to Pittsburgh.

I would especially love to hear more about the Ecumenical expressions. I look forward to fellowship with this group while we encourage each other to "Spark"!

Ultreya!

Hi! My name is Kerolyn, & I made Lutheran Women's Cursillo #3 in July 1974 (in Miami, FL), & I sat at the table of Esther. Since then the name has changed - to Sonshine Cursillo, & now Sonshine Via de Cristo. I have 3 grown children & 4 grandsons.

I moved away from to Gainesville, FL the month after making my weekend. I met a couple of Episcopalian ladies who wre trying to start theirs up, & they were working with the Catholic group based in Jacksonville, FL. I was privileged to serve on a team there in about 1976 , which was all Catholic except those two ladies and myself. I served in the kitchen for this one. We didn't have Cha Chas, as I recall, & since this was held at a retreat center in the woods, they made the kitchen crew part of the team - we also served as Chapel support. (In Miami, members of the greater community come in to help in the kitchen on weekends, so I helped on several weekends when I would come to visit.)

I moved again, & didn't find a movement at all where I moved to - I was moving around frequently as a travel nurse (I'm a retired RN), so I was out of the loop from about 1979 until this summer, when I returned to Miami & got back in the loop - what a blessing! I guess I had gotten lazy - out of sight, out of mind, & I hadn't searched for any of the various communities for several years. But my heart jumped for joy when I found that the church I had just started going to was active in the movement, & my pastor is one of the Spiritual Directors.

I am now privileged to serve on Sonshine Women's #103 (hmmm - can I stick around to serve on #203, Lord????? lol - I'm 66 now, I don't think I'll be able to serve if I'm still living then, as I will be 101 or more then.....) I will sit at the table of CHA, as I am the Music Cha for this weekend. What a blessing!

We have a prayer vigil for the weekend (10/14-10/17), & I'd like to ask any of you who can and would sign up for it. I'm posting a link below - it's an easy process, just click & select a date. The Webmaster will even send you a reminder email! And please, if you don't mind, forward this link to anyone you can - we know prayer works, so we (the team) are praying that all of the slots are filled. And those who haven't made a weekend are also welcome to join in the vigil.

If anyone would like to send Palanca, please contact me & I'll give you the address.

I was so happy to find this team - I hope to "meet" everyone & start fellowshipping online.

De Colores! And may God richly bless each of you...

Kerolyn

Hi, my name is Carol. I went on the Crossroads of Eastern PA Walk to Emmaus #38 in the fall of 2004. I sat at the Table of Esther.

I have served on several Chrysalis flights since my walk both inside and outside the conference room. This past February I was the Lay Director for the Girls Flight 21 in our community.

I am about to move to Nashville, TN. My husband is the International Lay Director for Emmaus and Chrysalis. And the headquarters are located there. So, as you can imagine, this is a big part of our lives.

Looking forward to sharing this experience with everyone on this team!

~Carol

Hi, my name is Erin and I attended the Great Banquet in Northern Virginia in May 2007. I have been blessed to serve on two teams since then and another coming up next weekend. My weekend was the most amazing time and truly transformational. I am the mother of four grown children (one son 29, one daughter 27, and 2 stepsons 27 and 30). I live outside Washington DC.
I joined Sparkpeople in April after choosing obedience to God in all parts my life, including what I put into my body - His holy temple. I am thrilled to find this thread and hope to see lots of activity here.

Hi,
I am Paula and went to Cursillo #172 in Alabama April 15-18th. It was a very refreshing and renewing experience. For those of you that have been on staff, thank you so much! It is very apparent that there is ALOT of work that goes into that process. I belong to the Episcopal church and have been a Daughter of the King (this is a religious order with women from Episcopal, Lutheran, Catholic and Anglican denomination's that make a commitment to prayer, service and evangelism) for 4 years. I am married and have 5 children and 20 grandchildren. I have worked in the counseling field over the past 30 years and am currently a family advocate. I am blessed to have a wonderful DOK prayer group that helps me in studying, worshiping and praising our Lord. I have been on SparkPeople for a few months and was so glad to find it. My weight loss journey began about a year ago and I have lost 30 lbs.--for me it really is about committing to a healthy lifestyle. I always say I look at this journey like a marathon instead of a sprint. Have a blessed day and De Colores!

Hi, I'm Roberta but few call me by my true name. It's Bert or Bobbie or Bertie :)
I attended Tres Dias #34 in Litchfield, CT and it turned my life around even though I thought at the time that I was walking with Christ. I was rector of Tres Dias #56 in Farmington, CT with many weekends as a servant in between. I am also involved (although not as much as with Tres Dias) with Aventura which is the young peoples version.

Hi, I'm Robin. I attendend walk #104 in Vermont. My table was "Stepping Stones to Serenity". What a great experience it was for me. Just the push I needed to continue on my journey of faith. It is nice to know there is a place for us to "meet" as sisters and brothers in Christ. Blessings emoticon

Hi, I'm Beckie.

I just turned 40. I've been happily married for almost 12 years and have a 7 year old daughter. I have a great job, but it will be ending because we're moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas this summer for my husband's job.

I went on Emmaus Women's Walk 115 in Louisville Kentucky a couple of years ago in March. I am a deacon at my church - New Goshen Presbyterian Church and my Mom is an elder.

I love Jesus, the color blue, the ocean, and Johnny Depp!

Hope every has a great week/weekend!

Beck

Hi, I'm Amanda. I started this team because I love being involved in Emmaus and wanted to get to know people from other communities and share ideas while supporting each others weight loss.

I am a 30 year old mother of 2 living children (9yo girl and 5 yo boy). I also had a son, Robert, who was stillborn 13 years ago.

I went on Chrysalis #10 in Louisville KY (now the Cornerstone Community) in 1993. I am now a part of the Hoosier Hills Community in Central Indiana. I've done just about everything on a walk except for music and clergy.... and Lay director, but I'm in the process of that. (LD of walk 76b April 30 to May 3 2009!!)
I was 250 lbs at my highest point and am now about 195... it's been a long road but I'm getting there.
I ride my exercise bike 3 times a week for 30 min. and I do shipment at work twice a week (moving boxes of clothes and accesories from a conveyor belt and dumping them into carts or stacking them).
I'm also trying to eat a low carb, high protein diet.

Hi, I'm Amanda!

Team leader of Emmaus Reunion, a team for people that have attended a version of the Emmaus walk (Chrysalis, Great Banquet, etc...) or are interested in it.
