Wow! A special welcome. Thanks so much. I'm just getting started on my running again after years of not moving. I'm 53 yo now and its going to be a challenge to get back to what my mind thinks of a runner. I was always running.... cross country in high school, and later in college I ran at least 5 a day and long group runs on Sunday mornings on the streets of DC and around the National Zoo area of Woodley Park. It's those memories that really spark me to get my running shoes back on and give it a whirl again.
I have started a run/walk program initially using my treadmill but am moving the activity outdoors soon. I had some minor surgery last week, so that has slowed me down just a pinch, but I have walked again twice since the surgery on Thursday last week.
I came here to get inspired by all of you Master Runners!!!
